Departure of Rowing NSW CEO

Margot Harley, CEO Rowing NSW and the Rowing NSW board today announce Margot’s departure from Rowing NSW. After four and a half as CEO, Margot has accepted a role with Cricket Australia with the board supportive of her decision.

Regatta Cancellations - Henley on Hunter & Newcastle Uni Pre-IV

After careful consideration of the safety of the site, Endeavour Rowing Club and Newcastle University Boat Club have made the decision to cancel the Henley-on-Hunter and Pre-IV regattas on 10th and 11th September. Thank you to all those who had planned to attend these regattas – we are sorry for the cancellation.

Vale - Peter Crawford

Rowing NSW is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Crawford.   A Partner at Sydney accountancy firm VJ Ryan and Co., Peter served as Auditor for the NSW Rowing Association for more than a decade until 2011.

NSW Masters State Team Selection Policy Review

Vale Doug Donoghue AM

Doug Donoghue AM has died at his home in Edgecliff, aged 86. Doug had a life-long association with rowing, starting as a coxswain, rower and coach at Sydney High, and a coach at Sydney Rowing Club, and held numerous Board and committee roles at the club, including, for many years, Vice-President of the club and Chairman of the Finance Committee where his business experience as a senior executive at Ampol was of great value. He was awarded the club’s Honour Blazer in 1982.
