Vale - Robert Wright | Scots College, Drummoyne RC and Mosman RC

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Wright on Tuesday 18th January 2022, aged 82 years.   Robert was a graduate of Scots College where he coxed for many years before opening up a Pharmacy in Eden where he resided until around 2000.  He came back to Sydney where he returned to coxing in 2001 with Drummoyne Rowing Club, a stint that also involved coxing some crews from Mosman, where he later transferred his coxing skills.

Nepean River - Water Level & Training Camps

The water level at the Nepean River is higher than usual, currently sitting at just over 2 metres, having fallen more than 60 centimetres in the past 4 days.  This makes boating difficult and slow at Weir Reserve.  Navigating through The Narrows is also not safe.  As it is not possible to safely go through The Narrows, all crews and coaching boats will be using the reduced safe waterway, therefore being considerate takes on additional importance.
