The Laurie Stepto Scholarship | Applications Now Open

The Laurie Stepto Scholarship is an annual award provided by the Laurie Stepto Trust to an aspiring New South Wales based rower to commemorate the great contribution of Laurie Stepto to the sport of rowing to ensure that his name and legacy live on.

Vale - Stuart (Sam) Mackenzie - Leichhardt, Sydney & Mosman Rowing Clubs

The NSW Rowing community is saddened to learn of the passing of former King's School, Leichhardt Rowing Club, Sydney Rowing Club and Mosman Rowing Club sculler and oarsman Stuart (Sam) Mackenzie - Olympic Silver Medallist and six-time Diamond Challenge Sculls winner at Henley Royal Regatta - aged 84 years.  

Vale - Martin Tattersall | North Shore Rowing Club & Sydney University Boat Club

It is with great sadness that we heard of Martin’s death on Sunday morning. He had been suffering from dementia. He was 79, much respected and loved by all who knew him. Martin Tattersall was born in June 1941, and educated at Winchester College in Hampshire. He spent 3 years studying Natural Sciences at Magdalene College Cambridge and then went on to do his medical degree in London. His degrees and fellowships included MD, ScD, MSc, FRCP (London), FRACP.

Notice Regarding Reviewable Decision - Changes to the Laws of Boat Racing

Further to the Notice to Constituent Members of 17  July 2020 regarding the Reviewable Decisions made by the Board of Rowing NSW on 15 July 2020 with respect to changes to the Laws of Boat Racing, the time for objections to the Decisions has now expired. In accordance with Clause 43(4) of the Constitution notice is hereby given that as there has been insufficient notification of a need for a review of the Reviewable Decisions by Constituent Members the Decisions thus becomes effective.
