The NSW Union of Oarswomen have released Bulletin 1 for 2018 updating all on the activities of the Union for the first part of the year.
NSW Junior Pathway Program - Pathway Regatta and Buildup
The weekend of April 14th through to April 17th saw the running of the Pathways VIII
regatta, which ran in conjunction with the Junior trials and held over the same period. The
regatta’s aim; to provide school-level rowers and coaches exposure to the next level of
rowing.
The 2018 Anzac Day Dawn Service is being conducted by Leichhardt Rowing Club and will be held on Blackwattle Bay, just off Blackwattle Bay Park and near the Anzac Bridge.
Crews are most welcome from clubs and schools.

Edward Trickett NSW Grade Championships - Island Access Friday 27th April
The 2018 School Sport Australia Triathlon Championships is taking place at the Sydney International Regatta Centre from Wednesday 25th April 2018 to Friday 27th April 2018.
Access to the island for boat trailers and other vehicles for the Edward Trickett NSW Grade Championships will become available from 1300hrs on Friday 27th April.
Congratulations to Merran Holmes of Newcastle Rowing Club, who becomes the latest Rowing Australia Umpire from NSW, passing her Level 3 examination last month at the 2018 Sydney International Rowing Regatta.
NSW Union of Rowers Youth Development Scholarship applications are now open. The Union awards scholarships to young rowers who display potential and are in financial need of assistance to achieve their goals in the sport. The NSW Union of Rowers has awarded 139 scholarships since 1992 to assist young rowers in developing their careers in the sport, with a number of recipients going on to represent NSW and Australia.

Michael Kemp of Vintage Wooden Rowing Shells is exhibiting a number of his boats at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, Sydney, as part of the 2018 Classic and Wooden Boat Festival.
The festival runs from the 13th to 15th of April with free entry.
