The Board of Rowing New South Wales
The business of Rowing New South Wales Incorporated is done so under the direction of the Board of RNSW for the benefit of constituent and registered members. The Directors may exercise all the powers of the Company, except any power the Corporations Act or the Rules requires the Company to exercise in a general meeting of members. The Board is responsible for the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer to do all things necessary for the proper management and administration of the organisation. The CEO is ultimately accountable to the Board of the Rowing New South Wales, however the CEO is accountable to the President on day-to-day basis.
Rowing New South Wales is committed to best practice models of governance to ensure the long term viability of the organisation. Corporate governance for the Board of Rowing New South Wales relates to:
- The process of setting, guiding and monitoring the organisations future direction
- Ensuring the organisation operates within its relevant legal and other boundaries
- Driving organisational performance through the management team appointed by the Board
- Establishing appropriate control processes and accountability systems
