Rowing NSW would like to congratulate all NSW athletes, crews, coaches and support staff in their hard work over the past season and their fantastic results from the recent 2022 ARC.

Interstate Women's Eight - Queen's Cup

As the Interstate regatta drew to a close, the highly anticipated races of the day set off with the Women's Interstate Eight with the NSW crew of Lauren Graham (SRC), Eleanor Price (SUBC), Jaime Ford (SUBC), Rowena Meredith (SUBC), Harriet Hudson (SRC), Laura Gourley (UTS), Georgie Rowe (UTS), Emma Fessey (UTS) and coxswain Talia Barnet-Hepples (SUBC) secure silver behind Victoria's crew claiming the 2022 Queen's Cup.

Interstate Men's Eight - King's Cup

The final race of the day saw the showdown between Victoria and NSW. After last year's close margin the event made way for a determined NSW M8+ crew. This year, the NSW Men's Interstate Eight of Sam Hardy (SRC), Will O'Shannessy (SUBC), Jackson Kench (SUBC), Jack O'Brien (SUBC), Spencer Turrin (SRC), Alex Nichol (SRC), Jack Hargreaves (SUBC), Alex Purnell (SUBC) and coxswain Kendall Brodie (SRC) channeled their determination through their drive to claim the 2022 King's Cup with a length over the Victorian crew with Western Australia claiming the bronze.

NSW awarded the Rowing Australia Cup for 2022

NSW also retained The Rowing Australia Cup, which is presented to the State with the highest points scored from racing in the Interstate Regatta. NSW has retained this title since 2017. 

NSW awarded the Bob Blake Shield at the 2022 Australian Rowing Championships

NSW has been awarded the Bob Blake Shield at the 2022 Australian Rowing Championships following a successful para rowing effort from NSW athletes. The Bob Blake Shield is awarded to the State with the most points accumulated for Para Rowing at the National Championships, which was first awarded in 2001.

Congratulations to Sydney Rowing Club for winning the overall medal tally as most successful club at the 2022 ARC.
