2022 Australian Masters Rowing Championships Wrap Up | Interstate Regatta

This past weekend saw Masters' competitors across Australia travel to Ballarat's Lake Wendouree for the 2022 Australian Masters Rowing Championships (AMRC). Congratulations to all Masters athletes and crews who competed bringing home a multitude of medals for both Club and State victories.

Congratulations to Mosman Rowing Club for coming third in the 2022 AMRC medals tally with a total of 22.125 after Toowong (28.625) and Melbourne Rowing Club (26).

A fiercely contested Interstate Regatta occurred on the Saturday with NSW Masters State Team representatives delivering a fantastic performance.

Interstate Women's PR3 Single Scull

The 2022 Interstate Regatta set off with the Women's PR3 Single Sculls where NSW's Lisa Greissl (LMRC) raced towards the finish line chasing after ACT's Sue Donoghue 19sec handicap where Lisa placed second just +5.65 after Sue's first place. Congratulations Lisa, a remarkable achievement!

Interstate Men's PR3 Single Scull

Kevin Wall (SHELL) put on a fantastic show as he claimed the Interstate Men's PR3 Single Scull title pushing through to the last 500m in front of Tasmania's Alistair Chong taking second place. Well done Kevin, another stellar performance!

A convincing win from Queensland's crew with South Australia claiming silver and Victoria taking bronze made way for the NSW Interstate Masters Eight of Ruth Gibson (NSRC), Nicki Blackwell (NSRC), Kathleen Hextall (DRC), Louise McCoach (NSRC), Chris Ross (MRC), Carissa Kleiman (MRC), Kim Lawry (MRC), Amy Clay (MRC) and coxswain Kelly Marsh (MRC) to push through to fourth place with a margin of +8.42 behind Queensland.
