In what was an absolute thrilling race last 300m the Sydney, UTS Haberfield composite U21 W4+ were able to hold out a determined Sydney University outfit in a chaotic dash for the line, with blades and hats flying.

In what was one of the upsets of the regatta Sydney Rowing Club's U23 4- were able to hold onto a famous victory. Up against a field stacked with Australian representatives. A relatively inexperienced Sydney crew were able to handle the conditions and push away from the pack in the final 250m for a famous victory.

In the Open Women's 2x Rowena Meredith and Tara Rigney (SUBC) worked their way from 4th after the 1000m to charge through the field with relative ease for a 3.81s victory. An all SUBC Open Men's 4 on the other hand dominated from start to finish with a 15 second win, helping extend the students lead on the all important Medal Tally!
