Australian Olympic Team announcement | Congratulations, NSW athletes!

Earlier today, the rowers comprising the Australian Olympic Team for Paris 2024 were announced.
We're immensely proud to share that these NSW athletes will be representing their country:
Tara Rigney - Women's Single Scull - Sydney University Boat Club
Harriet Hudson - Women's Double Scull - Sydney Rowing Club
Laura Gourley - Women's Quad Scull - UTS Haberfield Rowing Club
Rowena Meredith - Women's Quad Scull - Sydney University Boat Club
Georgina Rowe - Women's Eight - UTS Haberfield Rowing Club
Kendall Brodie - Men's Eight (coxswain) - Sydney Rowing Club
Jack Hargreaves OAM - Men's Eight - Sydney University Boat Club
Jack O'Brien - Men's Eight - Sydney University Boat Club
Alex Purnell - Men's Eight - Sydney University Boat Club
Spencer Turrin OAM - Men's Eight - Sydney Rowing Club

Including reserves, this means that 45% of the rowers in the Australian Olympic Team represent NSW clubs.
