CHS Regatta - Historical Records & Information Sought

To all rowers with fond memories of the CHS Regatta,

I am currently researching the history of CHS Rowing in which I plan to detail the infrastructure, procedures and participating schools over time as well as a complete set of results for the annual championship regatta.

As the rowing master of Nepean High School from 1977 to 1988 and the CHS convenor from 1981 to 1988, I have a fair understanding of the procedures during that time and have retained records of regatta results from 1980 to 1989. I have a limited number of results from regatta reports that were published in CHS Bulletins and the results of regattas since 1999 are readily available on the Rowing NSW website. However, I am still uncertain of many regatta results.

The first CHS Rowing Championships were conducted in 1965 but I have no information about regattas in the 1960s apart from the engraving on trophies that I took copies of in 1987. Prior to the championship regatta, I suspect there was a metropolitan CHS regatta series run in conjunction with NSWRA regattas but I know nothing of these.

I would love to communicate with anyone who can fill any gaps in my research.

What I am missing: 

* The format of the competition and participating schools prior to 1970.
* Official versions of results for 1965 -1969, 1973, 1975, 1990, 1992 -1997. For all other years I have confirming documents.
* Regatta programs for 1965 - 1973, 1975 - 1979, 1992, 1993. These enable me to discern what events were run in what years and which schools participated even if they do not feature in the results.

I would be grateful for any memories or information that anyone can add, anything relevant large or small will be welcome.

I will return any documents sent to me unless the sender tells me to keep them.
