About the Role:
The Event Coordinator will support the organisation and delivery of Rowing NSW regattas and events. You will be responsible for everything from liaising with clubs and event partners to coordinating volunteers and managing registration processes.
This role can be structured as one full-time position or two part-time positions based on the availability and suitability of candidates. The final structure will depend on the successful applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of Rowing NSW regattas, events, and other activities.
· Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination.
· Ensure event procedures and risk management protocols are implemented.
· Liaise with clubs, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth event delivery.
· Provide support for event registration, timing, and results management.
Who We’re Looking For:
· Students studying sports/event management or related fields looking for valuable part-time work experience.
· Participants in the rowing community who are interested in contributing to event management in a flexible, part-time or full-time role.
· Individuals with a passion for rowing and strong organisational and communication skills.
Skills and Experience:
· Proven experience in event coordination or administration, preferably in a sporting or non-profit environment.
· Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to work effectively with volunteers and event partners.
· Knowledge of risk management procedures for events is a plus.
· Flexibility to work weekends and outside normal office hours as required.
