Rowing NSW wishes to recognise two Rowing NSW members who have recently been awarded the annual Laurie Stepto Scholarship and NSW Olympic Council Athlete Grant respectively. Congratulations to both recipients

2020 The Laurie Stepto Scholarship
The Laurie Stepto Scholarship is an annual award provided by the Laurie Stepto Trust to an aspiring New South Wales based rower to commemorate the great contribution of Laurie Stepto to the sport of rowing to ensure that his name and legacy live on. Candidates must have completed year 12 and be eligible to compete in under 21 competition in the current and following years’ regatta seasons.

2020 NSW Olympic Council Athlete Grant
The NSW Olympic Council Athlete Grant Program is targeted at non-professional, up-and-coming NSW athletes aged 13 to 18 who do not currently receive significant funding from AIS, NSWIS, state or national sporting bodies or via individual scholarships. Athletes must compete in a sport on the Olympic Summer or Winter Olympic program and demonstrate behaviour consistent with the fundamental Olympic Values.
