Nepean River Obstacle

To all athlete and coaches going out to the Nepean River for either the NSW Time Trail 1 or Nepean Head #1 please be aware of the changing conditions due to recent rain. 

When boating athletes must be aware of the slip hazard due to the high tide, making the edge of the pontoon difficult to see. 

When rowing in both directions be careful of trees and branches in and around the sides of the bank the whole way up. 

The photos below are of a tree sticking out of water in the marshalling area above the start. The tree is marked with buoys so all athletes can see the hazard.
