NSW Interstate Schools Pathway Eight 2021 Update

Due to the NSW Government COVID-19 restrictions on mass gatherings, the way we conduct the Junior Pathways Training Days will have to change.

Instead of starting with on-water open days, this year we will start with a testing day.

For metropolitan-Sydney based rowers only, this testing day will be conducted in two locations – Mosman and Sydney Rowing Clubs.  From the initial testing results and with coach input, approximately 20 female and 20 male rowers will be invited to on-water sessions in Sydney where further evaluation will take place. 

Regional testing will take place as part of training camps already scheduled by the CDRA and NRRA.  If numbers are sufficient, further regional trials will be conducted to form Association crews.  If the number and quality of athletes is not of sufficient standard, one combined regional male/female crew may be selected.

Where possible, we will still have NSW City and Country crews.

The on-water assessments along with coach input will determine the line-up of the crews to race at the Interstate Schools Regatta as part of the Rowing Australia Underage trials in April 2021.

There will be no appeals in relation to the final crew selections.

• Coach name, email and mobile number
• Personal best 2k ergo score since January (date, time, drag factor and average rate)
• 2019/2020 best race results (regatta, event, placing, finish time)
• Preferred sweep side
