NSW Interstate Schools Pathway Eight 2022

Published Thu 04 Nov 2021

The Interstate School Pathway Eight’s began in 2013 and has grown here in NSW and across the country with the 2019 competition being the biggest to date with thirteen JW8+ and ten JM8+.

The Pathways 8+ event is an Interstate schoolboy/schoolgirl 8+ regatta held annually as part of the Australian Underage Selection trials at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC).  The aim of the Pathway 8+ event is to expose school age rowers with potential, along with their coaches to the next level of rowing.  It is a chance for young rowers to experience state selection processes and to compete against their school age counterparts from around the country.  It is an opportunity to work with high level coaches and to encourage school rowers to make the next step in their rowing pathway.

Looking back on those athletes that have come through this Pathway, many have gone on to represent their State and Country which is a remarkable feat.
