NSW Wrap Up | PR3, Single Sculls, Quad Sculls & Coxless Four | 2019 Aon Sydney International Rowing Regatta

A big weekend and huge congratulations to all the New South Wales athletes and crews who competed at the 2019 Aon Sydney International Rowing Regatta. Day 7 saw 9 NSW athletes and crews podium finish in 10 events, including 5 gold medals and 4 silver medals.

Interstate Women’s PR3 Single Scull
Congratulations to Julia Story (Drummoyne Rowing Club) for her silver medal in the final of the Interstate Women’s PR3 Single Scull. Nikki Ayres from ACT took out the gold medal in a strong performance, whilst Anu Francis (SA) finished with bronze.

Interstate Men’s PR3 Single Scull
Ben Gibson (Sydney Rowing Club) put in a strong performance to grab the silver medal in the Interstate Men’s PR3 Single Scull. Queensland’s Mac Russell took out the gold and and Aaron Skinner (VIC) took out the bronze.

The NSW girls in the Interstate Lightweight Women’s Quadruple Scull finished with the silver medal behind a strong performance from Tasmania, who captured the Victoria Cup for 2019. The NSW crew was made up of Sophie Jerapetritis (UTS Rowing Club), Georgina Masters (UTS Rowing Club), Georgia Miansarow (Sydney University Boat Club) and Sarah Pound (UTS Rowing Club).
