NSW Wrap Up | PR3 Singles, Single Sculls, Quad Scull & Coxless Four | 2021 Australian Rowing Championships Interstate Regatta

Rowing NSW wishes to congratulate all New South Wales athletes and crews who competed during the week at the 2021 Australian Rowing Championships in Lake Barrington Tasmania.
Day 7 saw NSW athletes and crews competing in the Interstate Regatta, with 9 podium finishes in 10 events.

Interstate Men's PR3 Single Scull
Ben Gibson (Sydney Rowing Club) had a tough final of the PR3 Single Scull. Despite his best efforts, Ben finished in 4th position.

Congratulations to Bronte Marshall (Balmain Rowing Club) for her bronze medal in the final of the PR3 single! Bronte finished behind Nikki Ayers from the ACT and Jessica Gallagher from Victoria.

Congratulations to Cameron Girdlestone (Sydney University Boat Club) for his silver medal in the Single Scull Final! An extremely close finish saw Cameron secure second place behind Alexander Hill from South Australia by 0.73 seconds.

A special congratulations to Tara Rigney (Sydney University Boat Club) for her gold medal and Nell Slatter Trophy in the Single Scull Final! Tara secured NSW's only gold medal from the Interstate Regatta with Queensland not too far behind followed by Victora.

Interstate Lightweight Men's Coxless Four - Penrith Cup
The NSW men in the Lightweight Coxless Four were able to secure a silver medal in a tight race, coming through from third to finish second with a fast last 500m. The NSW crew was made up of Wyatt Batt (Sydney University Boat Club), Sean Murphy (Mosman Rowing Club), Michael McCrea (UTS Haberfield Rowing Club) and Peter Waldersee (UTS Haberfield Rowing Club).
