Indoor Rowing is Growing
Rowing NSW launch the inaugural Indoor Rowing Series

Rowing NSW are excited to launch the inaugural Indoor Rowing Series for the 2018/19 season. This new series will bring Indoor Rowing to both the rowing and fitness communities throughout NSW.

Featuring four events over a five month period, competitors will have the option of attending one event or participating in all four, with an ongoing point score and great prizes up for grabs.

With the global landscape of rowing rapidly changing, Indoor Rowing competitions are increasing in popularity and Rowing NSW felt it was essential to offer alternative formats of our sport to the public to keep pace with the rest of the rowing world.” Rowing NSW CEO Margot Harley said today.

“The beauty of Indoor Rowing is that anyone of any age can compete in the sport and having a rowing background is not essential. Rowing NSW is committed to expanding the rowing community to include indoor rowing and we’re excited to bring this series of events to the NSW sporting community.”

Indoor Rowing Series 
The series is open for all ages and abilities including youth, opens, masters and para athlete categories. Rowing NSW welcome gym goers, school groups, flatwater rowers, surf boat rowers, corporate groups and other sporting organisations to take part in the series. 

Event Dates:
Rd 1: Sunday 10 February, 2019 
Rd 2: Saturday 6 April, 2019 
Rd 3: Saturday 11 May, 2019 
Rd 4: Saturday 8 June, 2019

Entries for round 1 are OPEN today, with the event to be held at Leichhardt Rowing Club on Sunday 10 February, 2019. Further information can be found at the Rowing NSW website.

Summer of Fun Series
Rowing NSW are also organising community Indoor Rowing events in their ‘Summer of Fun’ series, kicking off at Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club on Sunday 16 December. This event will help engage with the members of the Northern Beaches community in a fun outdoor setting.
