CEO of Rowing NSW, Margot Harley was excited about the competition and the opportunity it will provide for young school rowers.
‘Rowing NSW is passionate about providing this new opportunity for school rowers. For the first time the sport of rowing will give school rowers the chance to be recognised at a representative level, within their school environment alongside other major sports’.
‘Retention of school rowers is extremely important and we feel that this competition is one of many strategies we are implementing, for keeping young athletes involved and passionate about our sport’ Ms Harley said.
Associations are currently preparing for their trials. If you are a school rower from the list provided or your school is not listed and wish to be involved please make contact with Rowing NSW to be connected with the relevant convenor.
