Rowing NSW welcomes Stuart Welch to the board of directors

Rowing NSW is pleased to announce the election of Stuart Welch to the Rowing NSW Board following last Wednesday’s 142^nd Annual General Meeting of the Members of Rowing New South Wales Incorporated .

Stuart Welch has been a member of UTS Haberfield Rowing Club since 1996 and has represented Australia in U/23 and Senior Teams at Olympic and World Championship level. Stuart is a dual Olympic medallist, having won Silver in the Men’s Eight in Sydney 2000 and Bronze in the Men’s Eight in Athens 2004. Stuart has remained actively involved in rowing since competing at an international level. He became a Life Member of UTS in 2019, acknowledging his significant contribution to the rowing club and its Board, over the past 10 years.

Stuart Welch will serve a three year term on the board with his tenure up for nomination in September 2023, fulfilling the director position left vacant by Sarah Cook in May 2020.

Stephen Donnelley (President) and Sarah Hill (Director) were both re-elected to the board and will remain in position until their term expires in September 2023.
