Rowing NSW is pleased to announce the final crews selected for the inaugural School Representative Eights Competition to be raced this Saturday at the PLC/Kings/RNSW Regatta at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.

Rowing NSW CEO Margot Harley expressed her excitement about the inaugural race.

‘ The School Representative Eights Competition is a chance for our junior school rowers to represent their school association and experience racing with a new cohort of crewmates, something all of us cherish from our time in the boat. This competition allows rowers to be recognised within their own school environment by their peers and externally by the rowing community. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches selected to take part in this inaugural event’

The two races will see 81 athletes and eight coaches compete from 21 different schools across NSW and the ACT, a true reflection of the depth and breadth of rowing across the state and territory.

Associations were able to select up to two schoolgirl eights and two schoolboy eights for the race with each group selecting their own crews.
