Taronga Zoo Wharf Upgrade | Planning Approval Received & Submissions Report Released

Published Tue 21 Sep 2021

The NSW Government is proposing to improve Taronga Zoo Wharf as part of the Transport Access Program. The proposal includes both landside and waterside work including installation of new covered gangways and an accessible ramp and removal of part of the existing wharf structure. The uprgaded wharf would provide access for customers with mobility needs.

Planning approval has been received for the upgrade alongside the release of a Submissions Report. It outlines the feedback the NSW Government had received during the public display period and their responses.

Construction work to upgrade the wharf is expected to begin in the second half of 2022 and is expected to take about six months to complete, weather permitting.

More information on the Taronga Zoo Wharf Upgrade can be found on the Transport for NSW website.
