Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Jury for Rowing Selected

Congratulations to Greg Smith who has been selected to the Jury for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Greg is the only Australian umpire to be named from Oceania and is 1 of 20 rowing officials named for the Games.
Greg is a current FISA License Boat Race Official and is seen regularly at Rowing NSW regattas, having participated in 23 regattas during the 2018-2019 season.
Since taking his exam to become a FISA Boat Race Official in 2010, Greg has been involved in the following competitions.
- 4 World Cups in Lucerne, Sydney and Aiguebelette
- Olympic Selection regatta in Lucerne
- World Junior Rowing Championships in Rio de Janeiro
- World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv
- FISA World Masters in Copenhagen
- Coastal Rowing Championships this year in Hong Kong

This is not the first time a New South Welshman has been an official at an Olympic Games with John St Vincent Welch in Seoul (1988), Joy Wooldridge in Sydney (2000), Victor Walter in London Paralympic Games (2012) and now Greg Smith in Tokyo (2020).
