Vale - Leo MacRae

Leo MacRae, formerly of Penshurst and a former oarsman of both Glebe and Leichhardt Rowing Clubs passed away peacefully in his retirement accommodation at Tweed Heads on 1st January 2018.  He was aged 103 years.

Until retirement, Leo was a regular at "Old Rowers" reunions: He was in earlier days a health and fitness enthusiast with a family of six which now boasts of some 80 descendants including great, great grandchildren.

Leo's nephew is Ken MacRae, well known coach at St Joseph's College, Hunters Hill.

Leo's funeral is set down for 19th January at St Joseph's Church, Tweed Heads at 2:00pm with a commemoration ceremony to take place likely in March.
