Vale - Daryle Young | Penrith Rowing Club

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Daryle Young.

Daryle passed away at 11am this past Sunday, the 8th of September 2024, with his family by his side. We pass on our love, thoughts and condolences to Julie and his family.

Daryle loved his rowing, which he came to later in life. He came to Penrith Rowing Club from Leichhardt Rowing Club, where he had learned to row.

Daryle rowed with enthusiasm, selflessly coached the junior squad and happily repaired boats. He was a great friend to all and he will be missed.

Daryle has generously donated to Penrith Rowing Club his single, his erg and box of boat repair essentials. His spirit lives on. Easy oar Daryle.
