The Australian Boat Race 2018 - Tickets on Sale!

The Australian Boat Race will take place on SUNDAY 14th OCTOBER over the course from Woolwich to Darling Harbour. Rowing NSW is registered as an Active Kids provider, meaning students have the ability to use their Active Kids voucher to cover part or all of their Rowing NSW membership fees

4 NSW athletes added to the 2018 Australian Under 23 Rowing Team

Four New South Wales athletes have been added to the Australian Under 23 Rowing Team to compete at the 2018 World Rowing Under 23 Championships. Dyone Bettega, Rafaela Stalph (both Sydney University Boat Club) and coxswain Rebecca Harrison (UTS Rowing Club) have been selected in the Women's Eight.  UTS Rowing Club's Zac Von Appen has been selected in the Men's Coxed Four. Both crews will be coached by ACTAS Head Coach, Nick Garratt AM (Rowing NSW Life Member).

2018 Rowing NSW Presentation Night

World Champions in the Men's Coxless Four, Spencer Turrin (Sydney Rowing Club) and Jack Hargreaves (Sydney University Boat Club) took out the Oarsman of the Year award.  Rowena Meredith (Sydney University Boat Club), Silver Medallist in the Quad Scull at the World Under 23 Championships and A Finalist in the same boat at the World Championships, was the Oarswoman of the Year.

Vale Charles Watson OAM - Updated

Charles Watson OAM, former NSWRA Drummoyne Delegate and Safety Officer 1992-1996 has passed away. Charles was a long-time member of Drummoyne Rowing Club, joining the club in 1951.

The Laurie Stepto Scholarship Applications Open

The Lauire Stepto Scholarship provides the successful candidate a cash award totalling $5,000 over a two year period to continue his or her competitive rowing career, particularly with the objective of achieving success in championship racing with their club as well as representing NSW and possibly Australia in interstate and international competition.

NSW Union of Rowers - Youth Development Awards 2018

We are pleased to advise that this year thirty five applications (15 female and 20 male) were lodged for Youth Development Scholarships this year. A panel of five members of the Union's Executive evaluated the applications, which were of a very high standard. I am pleased to announce that nine awards of $1,000 each will be presented this year.
